Frameless glazing

Frameless Glazing systems are more common place in modern day architectural glazing, aesthetic appeal, unique design and high performance. High technology tempered glass, used for the glazing, can be used to add a unique and timeless finish to any project. There is balanced internal stresses created, which cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.

The glass panels are often supported with the use of structural glass fins or in the case of glass to glass corner detailing, supported from the adjacent glass itself. Often the glass units will be supported and retained with the use of stainless steel fittings and glazing brackets. In some instances the glass may be structurally glazed to the supporting glass members.

Glass panels could be processed with chemical etching, engraving, made of coloured triplex or tinted glass.

Structural frameless glass can be used to create large open glazed areas (contemporary aesthetics, both internally and externally); the mix of the traditional building materials and the ultra modern frameless glass is a look that really grabs your attention and imagination.
